Who's Been Going Commando?

SDG Logo Portrait small (* NEW *)

Shop Direct Group were looking for an opportunity to work closely on ‘common purpose' tasks in a challenging environment and introduce a ‘win’ mindset, enabling the board to develop as a single entity. They wanted to improve interpersonal relationships and start the new financial year with fresh motivation and vision following time spent out of the office.

A full day of team focused activities took place in the mountains of Snowdonia. The activities were designed to break down barriers in communication, encourage team work under pressure and strengthen bonds and trust within the board.

C Squared Logo

London based business publishing company C-Squared wanted something fun, different and original to bring their employees together and bond as part of their own team development programme.

We staged the kidnapping of their MD and staff had to work together to beat the clock, solving the clues to find him before forfeits were handed out. The second part of the day was an old favourite in the form of a classic school sports day with a difference, allowing staff to let their hair down, have friendly competition and really bond, forming new and reinforcing existing relationships away from the work environment.

No Guru Logo

As part of the NWDA supported LEAD Programme, training & development company No Guru engaged Go Commando to deliver part of the overnight experiential segment of the leadership course. The brief was to provide a fresh new event for the delegates to give them an out of classroom experience to remember.

We included exercises to allow delegates to develop new, innovative means of communication whilst appreciating individuals and their valuable input and promote a problem solving mindset within the teams to increase their awareness of the importance of working as single unit towards common tasks.
The activities helped to identify the natural leaders within the group and encourage those who usually shy away from leadership, allowing them to develop new skills to transfer back to the work environment.

HMPS Logo

Go Commando have been working with a number of prisons in the UK including HMP Manchester, HMP Lindholme and HMP Bronzefield and have been instrumental in developing the 18 month Go Bronzefield staff engagement programme.
All sites have been looking for a way to improve prison staff relationships and create a process of fresh motivation and vision. One of the most important aspects of the courses has been the opportunity to receive real time, honest feedback on the level of engagement of prison staff and have the opportunity to actively improve their mind set.

On our courses everyone is equal - roles and job titles do not feature. Individuals are there to share their personality and openly discuss how they feel about their working life.
