Founding partner and MD Emma Lishman came to us to help develop her leadership skills when she took communications consultancy, Andy Bounds Ltd, from a small business to an international player.
We involved Emma in a series of events, from military assault courses to climbing mountains, all of which gave her first hand experience of leadership. We created opportunities for Emma to face her fears and push herself to overcome them, to learn how to project confidence and strength even when the chips are down, and to recognise and play to the strengths of the wider team.
I got a real sense of achievement from the Go Commando programme, but more importantly I learned new skills that I’ve brought back to the workplace. They made me face some huge challenges and it has given me the confidence to know I have the capability to overcome almost any hurdle and achieve our goals.
